Private Snafu Collection - 1080p BluRay quality
A complete (to my knowledge) collection of Private Snafu cartoons, made during WWII as training films for American soliders. Notable for being worked on by many prominent animators and directors of the Golden Age of American Animation, including Friz Freleng, Chuck Jones, and Bob Clampett. The goal of the series was to teach soldiers, many of whom were only semi-literate, basic safety protocols in a memorable way. As such the series featured racy humor and slapstick similar to Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies shorts. As a product of the United States government, Private Snafu is public domain.
